What is code?

Code is a type of language that computers use to communicate and to carry out actions. Everything electronic from phones to websites to even washing machines use code to operate. Users of these devices don't even spend a second thinking about how everything works. What most people think of as just the clicking of a few buttons is actually hundreds of lines of code put into action. This is what code actually is.

Why is knowing how to code important?

According to the U.S. National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) , less than 2% of people in the U.S. know how to code. However, the NCES also stated that over 98% of people in the U.S. know how to speak English fluently. This is surprising because Sanjeev Malhotra, the CEO of the NASSCOM Centre of Excellence, once said "Coding is the language of the future." Everybody should know how to code if they want to be successful in this new digital world.

How do I start coding?

There are many different ways to code, they are called coding languages. One of the most popular coding languages is Python. Many people want to learn how to code, but they don't know where to start. The reason for this website is to learn the basics of coding Python, so when it comes to coding, you are prepared to step into the future.
